In 1981, Ahlbom and Galpin began working on new material under the moniker Concordia Discors ("harmony in discord"-Horace, 19 B.C.). the Northwest punk/wave scene. Their songwriting teamwork debuted Performing with a keyboard bassist and a drum machine augmented by a live percussionist, the band developed their eccentric skajazz style at many local clubs. |

In Unison, Ahlbom and Galpin use MIDI and digital sampling to create a unique style of danceable ballads. Elements that remain constant in each incarnation are Keith's jagged beatguitar, funky bass grooves and interweaving keyboards which create the setting for Steve's melodic ravings. The result is an unclassifiable blend of technology and emotion. |
